A 1960s, handmade, cylindrical vase by Bob Dawe at his Red Barn studio

Bob Dawe is a British potter known for his work in the 1960s and 1970s, particularly his thick-sided slab vases and cylindrical wall pockets. He studied at Goldsmiths College, London, in the early 1960s under David Garbett and Gordon Baldwin, where he developed a strong interest in hand-building rather than traditional wheel-throwing. In 1965, he co-founded Red Barn Pottery in Great Wratting, Suffolk, with Howard Evans, before continuing independently in 1968.

His pottery is identifiable by the Red Barn logo from his early collaborative period, while his later pieces were sometimes marked with "BD," featuring a backward "B."
