Otto Brauer (1916–1986) was a Danish glass designer best known for his work with Holmegaard Glasværk, Denmark's oldest glassworks. Brauer studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, where he honed his design skills with a focus on functional and aesthetic craftsmanship.

He joined Holmegaard in the 1960s and gained widespread recognition for his creation of the Gulvvase (Floor Vase), also known as the Holmegaard Gulvvase or Carnaby Vase. Introduced in 1962, this iconic vase featured a simple, elongated form with bold colours, epitomising the Scandinavian modernist design ethos of combining minimalism with vibrant expression. Brauer’s designs remain timeless, and his work for Holmegaard continues to be celebrated for its elegance and innovative use of colour.
