Large wicker and bamboo 'lobster pot stool', ottoman seat by architect and designer Franco Albini.

Through his creations, Italian born architect and designer, Franco Albini, merged the Italian traditional artisanship with the new forms of modernism. In his creations, Albini used raw, inexpensive materials and exploited the very skilled Italian craftsmanship. This also meant elegant designs based on a minimalist aesthetic.

This iconic piece, sometimes nicknamed the "Lobster Pot Stool" due to its shape, is made of natural rattan and represents Albini's ability to mix Italian craftsmanship with modern minimalism. The ottoman is known for its sculptural form, featuring a round, open-weave structure that allows light to filter through, creating patterns on the surface below. It can function as a stool, side table, or simply as a decorative element, adding texture and shape to a space.
