A beautiful, teak, mid-century sideboard by Danish designer Ib Kofod-Larsen, manufactured by G-Plan (UK) circa 1960. Features two doors with five drawers, the top being a felt lined cutlery drawer. The wood has been cleaned and finished with a quality danish oil. All handles are firmly attached.

Ib Kofod-Larsen (1921–2003)
Ib Kofod-Larsen was Born in 1921, he graduated as an architect from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, where he developed his signature approach of combining clean lines, organic forms, and exceptional craftsmanship.
Kofod-Larsen gained international recognition during the 1950s and 60s, collaborating with esteemed manufacturers such as Faarup Møbelfabrik in Denmark and G Plan in the UK. For G Plan, he designed the iconic ‘Danish Range’, which introduced Scandinavian aesthetics to British homes. His pieces, crafted from high-quality materials like teak, rosewood, and leather, were celebrated for their timeless sophistication and comfort.
Beyond his collaboration with G Plan, Kofod-Larsen’s designs, including the ‘Elizabeth Chair and ‘Seal Chair’, remain highly sought after by collectors for their understated elegance and enduring appeal. Today, his work is recognised as a cornerstone of Danish modernism, admired for blending functionality with a refined, sculptural aesthetic.
